Super easy & yummy vegetable dish.

Okay, I love this recipe for two different reasons. A- I get to cook with lots of red wine. B- You can add many ingredients to mushrooms, and it goes with many foods.

Yes I do like cooking with red wine and also balsamic vinegar. My two favorites! Enjoy the recipe below. (It only takes a few minutes to prepare and ready in minutes.)

Sauteed Mushrooms Recipe-

Ingredients-

1 1/2 pounds of mushrooms- washed and sliced

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons of olive oil or butter. (I prefer olive oil.)

sea salt & cracked pepper

1/4 cup of red wine or balsamic vinegar

1 tsp of brown sugar

Directions-

Melt the butter over medium heat in a large saucepan. Next, add in the garlic and saute for about a minute. Add in the mushrooms and red wine. Next add the salt and pepper to the pan. Continue cooking over medium heat for about ten minutes. Remove from the pan and serve. Tip- You can add fresh Parmesan cheese on top or fresh parsley. Great on rice, risotto, pasta and chicken.

  1. The sautéed mushrooms, butter and wine look quite decadent. This would make a fabulous appetizer – maybe on small, cut out circles of grilled pita with a garnish of feta, lavender or lemon zest? Your fragrant lavender would compliment the sweetness of the sugar and wine – and balance well with the earthy mushrooms. Nice recipe!
