Okay sooo, I am going to be a bit critical now….
While I was at Safeway this evening I had seafood on my mind. I was a bit hesitant to buy from there because I usually get my seafood at Costco, but I caved in. Anyway, lobster sounded very good to me, and I purchased a 4 Oz lobster. I am going to be honest, not worth the price.
I went home to boil it in a wine broth, and the flavors were amazing, but there was really no meat inside. Pretty bummed out Safeway, but I should have stuck with my instincts and saved the lobster hunt for another day at Costco.
Where do you buy your lobster? Any good places to go to in Sacramento?

Let me know how you like the market, they have everything from take-out Chinese, to roasted duck and everything else. Be prepared to spend an hour or two just going thru the place. And they have great produce as well.

Ranch 99 on Florin Rd, great for whole lobsters and they will steam it for you as we’ll. Usually around $8.99 per pound. The only place for fresh food and seafood.
