Greek Yogurt Is Taking Over!
Greek yogurt is taking over the world! Every time I go to the grocery store, I walk down the yogurt isle, and see Greek, Greek, Greek, and more Greek yogurt. My boyfriend moved to California about two years ago, and he was surprised by how many yogurt companies promote “Greek.”

Loooove Greek yoghurt!! A little bowl of the full fat stuff, sprinkled with chopped roasted nuts and spoon and I’m happy 😍
Yes, that’s the perfect mix. 🙂
Love it!
Elaine I wanted to ask. Is there a huge amount of Greek yogurt over in the UK?
It’s definitely growing, every supermarket carries several makes of Greek yoghurt including their own makes and usually at least Total
Hi – I didn’t know about the calcium absorption and fat so have learned something new today! My Canadian favorite is 0% vanilla flavoured by Liberte. I’ve tried a lot of others and nothing matches it…but after reading this, maybe will try the 2%.
Hi Carol,
Thank you much for stopping by. Yes, the fat really helps with calcium. 🙂 Ohh you live in Canada? Where about? I lived in Vancouver before.
Have a lovely evening.
Mississauga… home of the 92 year old Mayor Hazel McCallion…who may very well eat Greek yogurt too!
Lol, yep. The Greek yogurt is definitely helping with longevity. 🙂

🙂
I love Greek yogurt, but wouldn’t go with the 0%. I think yogurt should have some fat in it. Makes it taste better and also helps with the calcium absorption.
One of the best desserts I’ve discovered was when I’ve visited Crete. We were given fresh thick yogurt, topped with local honey and toasted pine nuts. It was just great!
Hi,
Thank you for your great feedback! Ohh I use to live in Greece, and can remember the fresh yogurt & honey. That is a common dessert they serve you after dinner. 🙂 I miss the fresh ingredients and quality of yogurt in Greece. Thanks for bringing back these memories.
Btw,
You are right about the 0 % fat. I remember reading something on Dr Wheil and he mentioned having fat in yogurt is good for you. 🙂
Growing up in Israel, I was lucky enough to be able to go to Greece often. I absolutely loved the food, the people, the scenery… So I thank you too for bringing back these memoirs. 🙂
Very nice. I have always wanted to go to Israel. 🙂
I love bringing back memories, and you are very welcome.
Have a lovely evening.
