~Great Summer Dessert~

 I highly recommend this for Father’s Day coming up!!! Pamper your loved one on Father’s Day and surprise him with this special dessert. 🙂 

 

Vanilla Lemon Fruit Parfait

Ingredients:

 

Directions:

  1. In a small pot, bring the milk and the lemon zest to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and cool for a few minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the egg yolks, sugar, flour, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the milk mixture into the bowl, and whisk until smooth.
  5. Place mixture back into pot over medium heat, and whisk until smooth, and the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove pan from heat, and add butter.
  7. Whisk in the lemon juice.
  8. Transfer pastry cream to a bowl, and place plastic wrap over the top to prevent a film from forming.
  9. Chill in refrigerator for a hour.
  10. Prepare the fruit, and wine glasses.
  11. Layer the wine glasses with fruit, and pastry cream.
  12. Repeat until you have about 2 or 3 layers.
  13. You can sprinkle toasted almonds over the top and serve.
