Gourmet Limoncello Cake

Yes, you read the title right!! Limoncello cake it is today. 🙂
What is Limoncello you might ask?? Limoncello is an Italian liquor made of lemon peel, lemon zest, vodka, and simple syrup. Limoncello is the second most popular liquor in Italy! The Italians know what’s up with their liquors. 🙂

My parents made a huge batch of limoncello last month, and it’s going fast! I love the flavor that limoncello has! In fact before I made this marvelous cake, I made a savory chicken dish with limoncello. Have fun in the kitchen, experiment with a variety of liquors and see what recipes you come up with. The only set back is, I didn’t get a chance to write down my moms recipe, so I linked a recipe for limoncello here. >>

  1. Love lemons, love limoncello, love cake. New to your blog and so far loving it. Can i use anything other than coconut oil for this cake? I have no idea where I might find it here in Aussie land.

    • Hi Sophia,
Welcome to my blog. I am very happy you stopped by. 🙂 I love lemons as well, and you can’t really not like lemons in a Greek house lol.

For the oil of course. You can use vegetable/ canola oil/ or even a light olive oil. Good question too!

If you enjoy the recipe, I would love to share your food photos on my blog.

      Thank you,
      Krystina
