2018 Spice Calendar By Kouzounas Kitchen & Kicking Back The Pebbles
Thank you to my dear friend Athina, blogger at Kicking Back The Pebbles, for the hard work and the amazing design that she came up with. I know she is laughing while she reads this, but she deserves the CREDIT guys. When you are making a calendar, many elements go into it. First, you have to figure out your idea. Well, our idea was simple, but amazing. Coming from a food background, more so a farm to table family, we believed in organic food, food that comes from your garden. With that being said, I started my own spice and tea company 4 years ago making organic loose leaf teas and organic spice blends. So, then we decided why not create a calendar that encompasses on a D.I.Y. spice blends. Many people have been health conscious with what foods they consume, as they should be! So we decided to combine our most favorite spice blends into unique calendar. We hope you enjoy!
Thank you to my wonderful boyfriend who really has an amazing eye for photography. He is a professional photographer, but he only has time to do this on his free days away from work. Athina also did an fabulous job on her food photos.
Our goal or mission is to spread the love for fresh food, more so fresh spices. We want to encourage people to learn about spices, and the history of them. Most importantly we want YOU to learn about your food, and where it comes from.

2018 Spice Calendar Details:
An 8.5“ X 5.5“ wall-calendar that opens up to an 8.5“ X 11“. The actual monthly view is a 2-page spread. We give you one spice-mix or herb-blend recipe per month—seasonally coordinated—and share our “secret” ingredients that will make your homemade blends far more interesting than their store-bought alternatives. Think of some of the most commonly used and loved ones (Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Curry, BBQ, Greek and Italian Seasoning, Herbs de Provence, etc.) jazzed up with ingredients like mace, cardamom, and dried lavender flowers. The spices are featured on the top page along with a simple date grid. Then, at the bottom page, we give you a fun, quick and easy recipe that utilizes that monthly mix or blend. Keep in mind, that most of the (food) recipes are already vegan-vegetarian, low-sodium, cholesterol-free, or they can be easily adapted—with a minimal number of ingredient swaps!
