The ancient Greeks had a very basic and healthy cuisine. The main ingredients included: wheat flour, honey, wine, olive oil, and fruit. Greece was ranked top to having a “fusion” cuisine dating back to 350 b.c.

Eat & Drink Like A Greek
Drink at least 7 glasses a wine a week.
Include nuts and olive oil in your daily diet. Researchers found that consuming nuts and olive oil in your diet will prevent against heart disease.
Eat more fish and less meat. This actually helps lower cholesterol.
Healthy Ancient Greek Recipe
Lentil Soup Recipe
1 cup dry lentils
2 small leeks sliced
1 bunch cilantro
1 tsp dry mint
Fresh ground black pepper
Red wine Vinegar
Boil the dry lentils over low heat with enough water to cover them.
Add the leeks and the fresh cilantro.
In a small bowl mix the mint, black pepper, add to the soup.
Let it simmer until the lentils are soft, add vinegar and olive oil to taste
