5 Ingredient Oreo Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 3/4 cup of organic superfine sugar
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of Oreos, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla powder from Saffron Direct

Method:

  1. In a large bowl whisk together the milk & heavy cream. Add the sugar and whisk to combine.
  2. Add the vanilla and whisk to combine. Now you can make this ice cream two ways. If you want a chocolatey oreo ice cream follow the instructions below:
  3. Chocolatey Ice Cream: Add the Oreos to the cream mixture. Then pour the mixture inside the ice cream bowl. I place my ice cream maker at the highest setting which is “60* minutes. Cover with lid and let it do its magic. Once the ice cream is done remove it from the machine, and transfer the ice cream to a container (preferably one that is freezer friendly.)
  4. Vanilla Oreo Ice Cream: If you want less chocolatey ice cream, don’t add the oreos yet. Add everything to the ice cream maker except the Oreos. Let the ice cream churn inside the machine for about 20 minutes, then add the oreos. Churn ice cream for an additional 10 minutes then remove from the machine and transfer to a freezable container.

Now if you DON’T have an ice cream machine follow these steps:

  1. In a large bowl whip the heavy cream inside a mixer using the whisk attachment. You want stiff peaks. Set aside.
  2. Then whisk together the milk, sugar, and vanilla. Fold the whipping cream in the milk mixture and then add the oreos. Pour the mixture into a large enough container, making sure it is freeze-friendly and cover with plastic wrap and then lid.  Freeze for about 24 hours, and then when ready to serve remove from the freezer a few minutes prior.

Enjoy!!
