Karen’s Apple Pomegranate Crumble Dessert Recipe
Hello fall recipes! The weather is so much cooler here in Northern California, and we love it. On today’s post I am sharing my mom’s British inspired crumble. After being away in England for about 2 months, I realized I absolutely love anything crumble desserts. So, this dessert is simple and if you have any pomegranates or apples around in the kitchen, make this!

Karen’s Apple Pomegranate Crumble Dessert Recipe
Servings: 6-8
Ingredients:
- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 large pomegranate, remove the membrane and reserve the seeds
- 1/4 cup of organic honey or 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla bean pod
- 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of organic sugar
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees or 190 Celsius.
- Prepare a baking dish preferably 8 x8 in size. Butter the inside of the dish.
- Place the apples, pomegranate seeds, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in large bowl and mix to combine. Pour the mixture in the baking pan, making sure its evenly spread out.
- In a medium bowl mix together the oats, vanilla seed, sugar, and flour. Stir the butter in the mixture so it forms coarse crumbs. Place mixture evenly over the top of the pomegranate apple mixture.
- Place in middle rack of oven for 40-45 minutes. Test to make sure the apples are tender and then remove from heat. Let the dessert cool down and then serve slightly warm with Greek yogurt, or ice cream.

Saw it on Instagram and had to check it out! I love crumbles! Especially with more than 1 fruit, love the blends! I make a rhubarb blueberry in the spring. I am going to have to make this soon if I can find some Pomegranates !!
