Apple crisps

I was experimenting with all these apples we have at home. I remember back in 2004 I made something similar to this recipe, but I added a few more ingredients this time.

Love apples?? Try this out! Super duper easy!!! 🙂

Apple Crisps Recipe-

1 box of pastry sheets- make sure to have at room temp. Cut each strip in half.

4 tsp of cinnamon powder

1/4 cup of brown sugar

1/4 cup of white granulated sugar

6 apples- peeled and diced in cubes

3 tsp of lemon juice

1 tsp all spice

1 tablespoon of orange liquor

4 tablespoons of butter

1 egg wash

Directions-

In a medium size saucepan, heat on medium low the butter. Add apples, sugars, cinnamon, all spice, and lemon juice. Let simmer for about 2-3 minutes. (You want to save the juices from the pan.) When done, add the liquor and remove from heat.

Get a prepared muffin tin, and fill each tin with half a strip of the puff pastry dough. Mold dough into muffin tins, and fill each tin with about 1 spoon of the apple filling. Add in the juices too. Brush each pastry with egg wash, and place in oven at 350 degrees or 200 c. Bake until the puff pastry doubles in size and is golden brown.

*Serve with vanilla ice cream or with some light cinnamon dusted on top.
