Featured Post~ Meet Cooked with Love Aprons
On today’s featured post I am introducing a super creative individual who is the mastermind behind Cooked with Love Aprons.
Meet Pat Plona, a creative seamstress who has a love for creating handmade unique aprons. I had the chance to meet Pat on Instagram and Etsy and was stoked that she took some time out of her busy schedule to come on over to Kouzounas Kitchen for a little Q & A.

Q & A Cooked with Love Aprons
1. How did you start Cooked with Love Aprons? What is your inspiration?
I’ve loved to sew ever since my mother took the time one Summer to teach me when I was 10 years old. Over the years while raising our children, my sewing went from creating to repairing. After our last daughter got married, I was lost and unsure about what to do with my free time. One day I decided to wander into our local fabric store, and that sparked my love for sewing all over again. There are so many beautiful fabrics now, and I always have new ideas whirling around in my head for new projects.
2. What is your # 1 favorite apron that you have made?
My favorite apron I made is a simple apron made in a soft cotton with small floral print. As soon as I saw the fabric it reminded me of my grandmother and Sunday dinners at her house. After I made it, I showed it to my sisters; right away she said it looks like something grandma would have worn. Even now when I think of this apron, memories of grandma pop into my head.

3. Can you tell me a little bit about your Etsy shop?
My Etsy shop is always evolving as I add new aprons and other kitchen related items frequently. Recently I’ve added Kitchenaid Mixer covers available in a rainbow of colors and hand crocheted super soft washcloths perfect for the bath or kitchen. I will be adding custom embroidery (names, initials, etc) as an additional option to all of my aprons and mixer covers. Of course, if someone wants more than a name on the item, I would be happy to work with them. You can find Pat’s Etsy shop under~ CookedWithLoveAprons.

4. Do you make custom aprons?
I love nothing more than having a customer contact me regarding a custom order! It is so much fun to work with them to bring their vision to reality. I can make just about any apron or mixer cover to their specifications.

5. Where are you from?
I am from Ohio and have lived here my whole life. My husband and I raised four children, and now we spend much of our time enjoying our ten grandchildren.

6. Your favorite quote?
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift from God which is why we call it the present.”
