A yummy peach cobbler recipe

Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients-

4 cups of peeled, sliced peaches
2 cups of sugar, divided
1/2 cup of water
8 tablespoons of butter
1 tsp of vanilla
1 tsp of brandy
1 1/2 cups of self rising flour
1 1/2 cups milk
Ground cinnamon

Directions-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees f. (Or 177 c.) Combine the peaches, 1 cup of sugar, water, vanilla and brandy to a saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for ten minutes. Remove from the heat. Place the butter in a 3 quart baking dish and place in the oven to melt. Mix the remaining sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent any clumping. Pour mixture over the butter. Next spoon the fruit on top, and gently pour in the syrup. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon. Batter will rise to the top while baking. Place in oven for about 35 to 45 minutes. Serve with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
