Creme Brulee French Toast!! This recipe is to die for! Super super tasty and good. Great breakfast meal.
Creme Brulee French Toast Recipe
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons corn syrup
9 inch bread loaf
5 large eggs
1 1/2 cups half-and-half
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoon Grand Marnier
1/4 teaspoon salt
Yields 6 servings
In a small saucepan melt the butter and sugar over medium heat. (Stirring until smooth.) Then pour that mix into a 13 * 9 inch baking dish. Next cut 6 slices of bread about 1 inch apart. Arrange each slice of bread side by side in the baking dish. In a medium size bowl, mix all the rest of the ingredients with a mixer until well combined. Pour the mix over the bread. Chill the bread mixture for about 5- 6 hours in the refrigerator.
When you have removed the bread from being chilled, place oven on 350 degrees or 175 celsius. Bake the bread for about 45 minutes uncovered and until it puffs up and is golden brown. Serve it hot and you can top it off with cinnamon or powder sugar.
