Saturday’s Food For Thought Is Here!
Yay, it’s Saturday!! What is everyone doing on this lovely day?
Todays food for thought is:
POMEGRANATE
Pomegranates have high-fiber, juice of the pomegranate is said to be effective in reducing heart disease risk factors.
One of the oldest known fruits, found in writings and artifacts of many cultures and religions, the pomegranate (punica granatum) is an original native of Persia. This nutrient dense, antioxidant rich fruit has been revered as a symbol of health, fertility and eternal life.
Did you know that a glass of pomegranate juice has more antioxidants then red wine, blueberries and cranberries. ??
Yes, one of the oldest fruits has many great benefits. Why not try a pomegranate today?
– Cheers

Oh wow, I can remember eating these as a child. My grandmother always had them on hand. I remember the mess they left on my hands, but they were so good!

Pomegranates are supposed to be REALLY good for you. I like mine in a juice.

Hii! Yes they are super great in juice, and very beneficial.

Speaking of Halva lately 😛 when you serve it, instead of sprinkling cinnamon & toasted sesame/pine nuts/almond slices on top, try topping it off with pomegranate arils! 😉 😉
