Ouzo & Maple Syrup Sauce

I know what you are thinking, these ingredients sound like they don’t go together, but they actually do! Check out this tasty sauce below and try it on some pan seared tofu.

Ouzo & Maple Syrup Sauce Recipe-


2 tsp of ouzo

2 tsp of maple syrup

1 tsp of brown sugar

3 tablespoons of olive oil

sea salt to taste

ground pepper to taste

In a saucepan, place all ingredients on medium heat and let the sauce cook until thickened. Remove from the heat and serve over pan seared tofu.

      • You know how they make saganaki with hloro-tyri in Santorini (pan-seared fresh goat cheese in a tempura-style batter with a sesame crust) which is topped off with sour-cherry “spoon sweet”? I’m thinking Ouzo & Maple Syrup instead!
