French Toast, yes please!

This morning I made a yummy caramelized french toast. Easy recipe and a yummy one to say the least.

Caramelized French Toast Recipe

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons of butter

6 eggs

1/2 cup of half and half milk

1 pinch of salt

8 slices of bread

1 cup of brown sugar

2 tsp of vanilla flavoring

1/2 cup of water

2 tsp of cinnamon for the top

Directions:

~ Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium heat.

~Whisk together the eggs, milk and salt. Then dip the bread into the egg mixture, one at a time. (Both sides.)

~ Pan fry 4 slices of bread, then use the remaining butter and repeat the process.

~ Set bread aside then add the brown sugar and vanilla to the pan. Stir until sugar is melted and then add the water. Place the toast in side the pan, and coat each side.

Sprinkle with some cinnamon powder, and serve. Enjoy & Kali Orexi!

    I have made french toast like this before and it is just awesome! Thanks for posting this, I had almost forgotten how long it’s been since I’ve had some. I don’t make it much anymore, my husband is very picky when it comes to some things. He only likes it dipped in the egg/milk mixture and then toasted…boring!

      You are very welcome. I am happy you found this recipe. 🙂 Yes, I am noticing now a days, many chefs are coming up with really different ways and ideas to make french toast. I believe I posted a french toast creme brulee as well, and that one is a great recipe!!! Lol my boyfriend is the same way, he doesn’t like sauces. haha

        Ooooh, I will have to look for that french toast recipe! My hubby doesn’t mind sauces, he’s just picky about certain things. Doesn’t care for cinnamon, doesn’t like peppers and onions (even though I cook with them all the time…what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him, lol!). I’ve gotten very good at hiding things in dishes. 😉
