Classic Basil Pesto Recipe
4 cups of fresh basil leaves
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of pine nuts
1 cup of extra virgin olive oil
Combine basil parmesean cheese, pine nuts, and garlic in a food processor. Pulse to mix the ingredients, and make sure everything is finely chopped.
While the processor is running, slowly add the olive oil into the mix. Add sea salt and ground pepper for taste. Chill the pesto for about 35 minutes so the flavors all combine together.
Serve over pasta, salad or even on top of bread. Yummy!!!
