Greek Style Mojito Drink

Happy Father’s Day to you all!
One of my favorite recipes in this collection is my unique twist on a mojito—a Greek-style mojito inspired by one I enjoyed while sitting on the beach in Crete. It was incredibly delicious, and I knew I had to bring a little bit of Crete back with me. I hope you enjoy this refreshing cocktail, especially on those hot summer days that are just around the corner!
Honor Dad—or any cherished loved one—with this irresistible Greek-Mexican fusion cocktail. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day in style!
What is Metaxa?
Metaxa is one of our all-time classic Greek liquors. It is made with Muscat wines and a blend of other botanicals. It is very similar to brandy and is available in varieties that are 5, 7, or 12 stars, as well as a reserve brand. If you’d like to learn more, check out their official website.
I hope you enjoy this delicious Greek-style mojito recipe!

Greek Style Mojito Recipe
Chef KrystinaEquipment
- 1 Cocktail muddler
- 1 Cocktail shaker
- 1 Cocktail glass
Ingredients
- 1 Bunch of fresh mint
- 2 teaspoons demerara sugar or organic sugar
- 2 limes (reserve the juice)
- 1 lemon (reserve the juice)
- 1 1/2 ounces Metaxa liquor
- Handful crushed ice cubes
- 1 ounce plain club soda or you can use any sparkling water
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker or glass, muddle the mint and sugar. Make sure the mint leaves are really mixed into the sugar. This will bring out the oils of the mint leaves.
- Add the lime and lemon juice along with the Metaxa. Shake the mixture well, then strain into a large glass filled with crushed ice.
- Pour club soda over the mixture and serve with fresh mint.
Notes
- You can use more mint if you like for a tasty minty cocktail!
- If you don't have club soda, you can use the sparkling water, such as La Croix (I love the lime flavored one)
- Demerara sugar works well when muddling the sugar and mint together, but you can use any type of sugar you prefer.
Cheers!
