Yiayia’s Greek Salad Dressing

This is my yiayia’s Greek salad dressing. Very yummy and it’s all about good quality oregano and olive oil. Pour this over a big Greek salad and enjoy.
Yiayia’s Greek Salad Dressing Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons of fresh orange juice
- 1 clove of garlic- minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of freshly dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (for sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt and ground pepper
Directions:
Place all ingredients into a salad dressing jar and shake. Make sure you shake enough to combine. Place in refrigerator chill for about 1 hour so the flavors come together. Serve over salad or perhaps dip your favorite bread inside this dressing!
Kali Orexi!
Notes:
- If you want to leave out the honey or maple syrup, that is fine. This is to balance the acidity and give it a slight sweetness.
- The orange is perfect in this salad for a bit of citrus and sweetness. Us Maniates LOVE orange!
- Adding a tablespoon of dijon mustard to the mix makes this dressing pop!
- The longer the dressing chills in the refrigerator the better.
- This dressing works really well with everything! Pour it over any salad, or use it in a wrap, or drizzle over cooked vegetables.
Thank you!!!
